There’s a certain amount of relief when you’ve come to the end of yourself.Giving up isn’t so much about an ending of you, but rather a beginning of Christ in you. To have a life beyond your doing means at some point, you have to stop doing. You can’t ditto every Christian self-help teaching and expect to have the life you’ve always wanted.At some point, you must come to the realization that Christianity doesn’t create a new and improved you, but creates something altogether brand new. You’re a new creation in Christ. The old has withered. Your new life is in the Vine.
Jesus doesn’t need your help, but rather your hope. Hope in Him to do for you what you could never do for yourself.
